Court dismisses Ajibola’s suit against Kwara gov

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Friday, dismissed the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Simeon Ajibola, challenging the election of Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed as the governor of Kwara State.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Friday, dismissed the suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Simeon Ajibola, challenging the election of Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed as the governor of Kwara State.

Governor Ahmed was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship election held on April 11, 2015.

In their suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/688/2015, the PDP and its candidate, Senator Ajibola, had approached the Federal High Court to challenge the victory of Ahmed in the election.
