The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Igho Braimah ordered that Azala be remanded without an option of bail, when the case came up for hearing in the court.

The prosecutor said the incident happened at No. 6, Agho Street, off Textile Mill Road on April 9, 2017.

Azala denied the allegation saying: “I did no such thing as having canal knowledge of her, I have embraced her only on five occasions, and I also “released” on those occasions.

“ I am only being lied on by her (girl’s) mother because we had a misunderstanding. We are neighbours.”

The magistrate adjourned the case to today.
