Court to hear possession of human skulls case on March 31

Ruling on the application for bail for an accused person, Gabriel Josiah, also known as Eli-wakuku, the founder and prophet of St. Moses Orimolade Cherubim and Seraphim Church Osere, Ilorin, Kwara state, over unlawful possession of human skulls has been fixed for March 31 this year by an Ilorin magistrate, Kehinde Yahaya.

Besides, the Office of the state Attorney General and Ministry of Justice, has taken over the prosecution of Josiah accused of removing from Muslim Cemetery Osere, Ilorin, human skulls and trading with same.

The Assistant State Prosecutor from the Ministry, Ayoola Akande yesterday before the magistrate announced his appearance and total take over of the case from the state Police command.

Akande informed the court of the transference of the case file and other necessary documents to the office of the attorney general for the prosecution.

On February 5, this year, information received from reliable source alleged that the accused conspired with one Gabriel Moyosore, (m) Yinusa Sa’ad Ayinla, Alfa Alaba Isiaka (at large) and others to carry out their nefarious acts.

They were promptly arrested by the police and charged to court for unlawfully gaining entrance into the cemetery and for perpetrating the act since.

Some unspecified number of human skulls were said to have been removed by them from the cemetery and sold to various customers at the rate of N8,000.
