Covenant varsity to hosts QNET wellness science dialogue

Wellness and lifestyle direct-selling company QNET will host a Science Dialogue at Covenant University, Ota. The event, themed “Demystifying the Science Around QNET Products,” will bring together experts to examine the scientific research behind the company’s Amezcua wellness innovations.

Professor Abiodun Humphrey Adebayo, Director of Research, Innovation, and Discovery at Covenant University and a member of the QNET Scientific Advisory Board, will lead discussions at the event. With a background in phytomedicine and biochemical toxicology, Professor Adebayo has contributed to evaluating QNET’s Amezcua wellness products, including BioDisc 3, ChiPendant 4, and BioLight 3.

These products use structured water, infrared light, and positive ElectroMagnetic Forces (EMFs) to promote healing and support cellular balance. Research indicates potential benefits such as stress reduction, improved sleep quality, relief from joint discomfort, and better digestion—issues that affect many households in Africa. QNET’s investment in scientific research reflects its approach to combining wellness traditions with new developments in health sciences.

QNET’s Regional General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa, Mr. Biram Fall, explained the purpose of the event: “This dialogue reflects QNET’s approach to wellness solutions based on scientific research. By connecting innovation, research, and daily well-being, we aim to provide reliable information about our products. Collaborations with researchers like Professor Adebayo help strengthen confidence in our offerings and reinforce our goal—to improve lives through wellness backed by evidence.”

Hosted by Professor Timothy Anake, Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University, the event will include a keynote address by QNET’s Senior Legal Counsel, SSA, Theodocia Naana Quartey. It is intended primarily for Covenant University students, providing them an opportunity to engage with QNET’s wellness technologies and learn about the company’s product range, direct-selling business model, and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Professor Abiodun Adebayo shared his thoughts ahead of the event: “This dialogue is an opportunity to connect academic research with practical application. My research examines the role of structured water and light-based therapies in supporting cellular health and energy balance. I look forward to discussing the science behind QNET’s Amezcua products with students and contributing to conversations about wellness in Africa.”

With non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, and respiratory illnesses responsible for more than 74% of global deaths—according to the World Health Organisation (WHO)—science-backed wellness solutions are increasingly relevant, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa.
