Cross River senator empowers constituents

The lawmaker representing the Southern Senatorial District of Cross River State, Senator Asuquo Ekpenyong, has empowered his constituents with grinding and sewing machines to promote economic growth and self-reliance.
The gesture also aligns with the lawmaker’s promise to support small-scale businesses, reduce poverty, and help entrepreneurs boost income generation.
Ekpenyong in his address described the initiative as a step toward fostering grassroots development and improving livelihoods across the district.
Kate Effiong, one of the beneficiaries said “This grinding machine will help me start a business and care for my family”.
Also speaking, Mrs. Bassey Edodi, said with the sewing machine, she hopes to “expand her tailoring business and even train others in my community.
