CSOs laud Lalong for peace, good governance

Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in Plateau State have commended Governor Simon Lalong for his commitment to peace and transparency in governance.

The Chairman, Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CCSO), Gad Shamaki, said the CSOs were delighted with the incremental peace and stability since Lalong came to power because of his determination to unite the people and address touchy issues.

Shamaki stated this at the weekend when CCSO visited Lalong at the Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.

He cited the creation of the Plateau State Peace Building Agency (PSPBA), the signing of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act and the adoption of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) initiative among others as some of the laudable achievements of the governor that turned the fortunes of the state nationally and internationally.
