Singer Davido has congratulated Banky W for clinching the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representative’s candidacy.

Real name Olubankole Wellington, Banky W was elected as the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives, Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 elections at the primaries held on Monday. 

Banky W won in a landslide victory, polling 28 to 3 votes. 

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning, Davido acknowledged the former EME boss’ ambition urging other Nigerian youths to also  participate in ensuring a change in governance. 

Davido tweeted, “Congrats @BankyW ! You have my support! Don’t sit at home and complain, get up and make a change.”

Other celebrities have also congratulated Banky W on his win, including Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who tweeted, “One building block at a time. Congrats @BankyW! Time to prepare even harder bro.”

MI Abaga wrote, “Many will talk, few will do. Congrats @BankyW.”

Dj Neptune tweeted, “Congrats, Banky W!”

Remember that in the 2019 elections, Banky W contested the House of Representatives seat under the Modern Democratic Party (MDP) but lost to Ibrahim Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
