The Oniba of Iba Kingdom and former Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Lagos chapter, Oba Sulaimon Raji Adesina, has warned anyone fighting on his behalf to stop as he is no longer a member of the association.

The Oniba of Iba Kingdom and former Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Lagos chapter, Oba Sulaimon Raji Adesina, has warned anyone fighting on his behalf to stop as he is no longer a member of the association.

Oba Adesina, in a statement by his media aide, Samuel Olalere Owoseni, yesterday, urged his supporters to continue their job and embrace peace rather than cause an uproar.

“I am the one who resigned and I have my reasons. If you are my supporters, please carry on with your jobs and don’t fight on my behalf. We are peace-loving people and we must remain the same regardless of the situation,” he said.

The former RTEAN chairman stated that the state is notable for its efforts in ensuring peace and tranquillity and must not be truncated by any activity, especially as it concerns him.

He implored all his supporters and well-wishers to key into the vision of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and jettison any attempt to foment trouble that could dampen the effort of the government.

“I am happy people are aggrieved. It’s understandable and I thank you all for your concerns but we must not allow this to escalate into chaos. Where we are heading is still far away and we must remain calm and resolute. The future is ever bright,” he added.
