…As MFM Lekki extends medical Outreach, Food Aid, to Noforija Community
Residents of Noforija in Epe and surrounding communities recently witnessed a strong display of compassion as the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Lagos Region 1, Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Igbo Efon, organised a large-scale humanitarian outreach.
The outreach preceded the dedication of the ultra-modern Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries church, Region 210, Noforija, Epe, Lagos State, by the General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya.
Dr. Olukoya, represented by the Assistant General Overseer (AGO), Pastor Kehinde Adegbolahan, said the development marks another milestone in the ministry’s ongoing mission to deepen its grassroots presence across Nigeria and beyond.
The dedication ceremony attracted a large gathering of worshippers, community leaders, and church officials, all united by a shared sense of purpose and expectation.
For many residents of Noforija, the establishment of an MFM region in Epe represents more than just a place of worship—it signals spiritual reinforcement, community development, and renewed hope.
The Region Overseer of MFM 210, Noforija, Pastor Tunde Oluwaleye, expressed gratitude to the General Overseer for his continuous support.
He said the new church would promote spiritual growth, social development, soul-winning, youth empowerment, counselling services, and charity programmes, in addition to the deliverance and prayer ministries for which the church is known.
He described the church as a hub of deliverance, revival programmes, community outreach, and a centre of hope and restoration, adding: “This church is planted here to bring light, uplift lives, and stand as a beacon of holiness and spiritual warfare in this region.”
In his exhortation titled “Prayers to Provoke Wonders” (Isaiah 9:6) during the commissioning, the AGO said every believer in Christ is mandated to manifest wonders.
“You are supposed to be a wonder to your generation, mandated to manifest wonders because you belong to Jesus Christ, whose name is called Wonderful,” he said. “Wonder is a visible signature that God is on your side.”
The humanitarian outreach attracted hundreds of beneficiaries and featured free medical services, food distribution, and skills empowerment programmes aimed at providing immediate relief and promoting long-term self-reliance.
The initiative targeted the less privileged, irrespective of religious affiliation, age, or ethnicity.
At the heart of the programme was a comprehensive medical outreach where qualified health professionals attended to residents free of charge.
Community members received consultations, basic treatments, and health guidance for conditions they might otherwise be unable to treat due to financial constraints.
In addition, the ministry distributed food items to families to help cushion the impact of rising living costs.
Beneficiaries described the intervention as timely and impactful, saying it would ease household burdens significantly.
Speaking on the outreach, the Senior/Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Pastor Moses Adebowale, said the gesture forms part of the Explosive Evangelism Initiative (EEI) instituted by the General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya.
Adebowale, who spoke through Pastor Olufemi Odelabi, Assembly Pastor, MFM Lagos Region 1, Igbo Efon, Lekki, said Dr. Olukoya had directed all MFM churches to positively impact lives spiritually through evangelism and physically through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
He expressed gratitude to the General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, and his wife, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth Olukoya, describing them as “the Apostle of Deliverance and selfless philanthropists,” for their commitment to soul-winning, deliverance ministry, and life transformation through both spiritual and physical interventions.
Adebowale noted that beyond biblical teachings and deliverance programmes, MFM has implemented several impactful initiatives, including scholarships for indigent but brilliant students, skills and financial empowerment for widows, youth training and empowerment, orphanage support, and prison evangelism aimed at rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-inmates.
Winning Souls Through Service
The District Evangelism Leader for Lekki/Ajah Axis, Evangelist Patience Udeme, said the Food Evangelism and Medical Outreach is designed to win souls for Christ, depopulate the kingdom of darkness, and bring relief to people by addressing both their spiritual and physical needs.
“In a bid to win more souls for Jesus Christ, the church consistently engages in food evangelism, street evangelism, market outreaches, prison and orphanage visits, as well as crusades and film shows,” Udeme said.
Medical Team Report
The Head of the MFM Medical Team, Dr. Victoria Olubukunola Ayeni, said a large number of residents were attended to during the outreach.
Services provided included Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) tests, Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS) tests, Full Blood Count (FBC), blood pressure checks, and other diagnostic screenings.
Pregnant women, ulcer patients, as well as individuals suffering from stroke and piles, also received medical attention.
Skills for Self-Reliance
A key highlight of the programme was the free skills acquisition and empowerment session, where participants were trained in vocational skills such as soap making and perfume production, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and financial independence.
Organisers stressed that equipping people with practical skills remains essential to breaking the cycle of poverty and building sustainable livelihoods.
The church also extended support to widows through food supplies and cash gifts to strengthen their businesses, improve welfare, and support their children’s education.
Residents Commend Initiative
Residents of Noforija commended the outreach, describing it as timely and impactful.
Many called on other organisations to emulate such initiatives, noting the positive difference it has made in their lives.
As the programme concluded, it left behind not only relief materials and medical services, but also renewed hope and a stronger sense of community solidarity.
For the people of Noforija, the intervention stands as a reminder that compassion and collective action remain powerful drivers of social transformation.
