Ebonyi State Police command yesterday foiled a planned protest by pro-Biafra group, arresting five of them. Similarly, the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has disassociated itself from the protest, saying that those arrested were not their members.

In a statement by Police Public Relations Officer, ASP George Okafor in Abakaliki, the Police said that at about 09.00hrs of yesterday, following a tip off, it foiled their gathering on old Ogoja road heading towards Government House.
