EFCC resumes trial of Lamorde’s accuser
THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will today resume the trial of George Uboh, the accuser of the commission’s chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde, who alleged that Lamorde siphoned N1 trillion in recovered funds and assets.
The trial is taking place in an ongoing case of fraud against Uboh at the FCT High Court in Abuja before Justice S.A Aladetoyinbo.
Uboh is being accused on a three-count charge of selling government vehicles at the time he was an employee of the Police Equipment Foundation in 2007.
Uboh had accused the EFCC leadership of siphoning some of the funds it recovered from former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Alameiyeseigha, who is now late; and former Inspector General of Police, Tafa Balogun. He also accused the EFCC chairman of not declaring some of the assets recovered from the individuals.
Currently, the National Assembly is investigating the matter.
EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, told The Guardian on telephone that Uboh’s trial, “is an on-going case”

This trial on the front page is plan by the actors in EFCC to muscle the minds of Nigerians to believe they are working hard make a soft landing for their boss who is currently been investigated official looting which is a second degree looting; looting from the looted.
The date of Uboh’s sale of government vehicles looks obsolete if one considers the EFCC as an organisation fighting corruption. What keeps such finding so long for trial until the accuse came up with his petition against their boss.
The EFCC in today Nigeria is obsolete and lack sincerity of purpose rather create job for few persons in the organisation to survive the time.
GMB need to re-engineer that outfit with new heads and new operational methods that fits into international, scientific approach into crime fighting.
