Elfreda Odeh emerges winner of Finest Girl Beauty Pageants
Miss Elfreda Odeh, representing Taraba, has emerged winner of The Finest Girl Beauty Pageants International.
Odeh beat 37 contestants from across the country at the event, organised by Btv Television Network Limited, a Nigerian Internet station in Abuja on Saturday.
Other winners include Miss Blessing Okoro representing Ebonyi who won the Finest Girl Democracy Nigeria 2015 and Vanessa Dibite, representing Bayelsa, who won the Finest Girl Niger Delta 2015.
Earlier, Mr Barry Johnson, the Chief Executive of the Pageant, said that the show, which is the 8th edition, was designed to promote the traditional heritage of the country and to celebrate successful transition from one democratic rule to another.
He said that the winner would represent the country at world version of the pageant, where she would compete with 150 beauty queens from all over the world.
“The Finest Girl Pageants International has recorded the highest prestige in Nigeria and beyond since inception in 2008 with the label “Pageant Is Not Pimping, Not Nakedness, Not Sex and Not Prostitution,’’ Johnson said.
Highlight of the event include catwalk and displays by kids models who rocked the stage and a mini raffle draw for a two-bedroom flat located in Abuja to a lucky winner.
Also, there was a special appearance from artiste, including Cynthia Morgan, Maleke, Mamuzee Twins and Yvonne Jegede of Noollywood.
