#EndBadGovernance: Police, demonstrators disagree over protest venue in Abuja
Protesters at the National Stadium in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja this morning, disagreed with the FCT Commissioner of Police, Ben Igwe, over the move to restrict the protest to only inside the stadium.
While the protesters gathered at the entrance of the stadium, displaying placards and chanting about hunger, Igwe insisted that the protesters must respect court orders regarding the protest.
Our correspondent observed that the number of police officers, in about 20 Toyota Hilux and other cars, as well as Army and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) personnel, is nearly equal to the total number of protesters.
One of the leaders of the protest, Deji Adeyanju, was present at the venue in Abuja.
