Enugu graduates over 100 children in tech hub

The Enugu State government, through its Enugu Tech Hub, yesterday, concluded a two-week technology applications training for over 100 school children in Enugu State.

The training tagged, ‘Coding Programme for Kids,’ exposed participating children to three programme areas of gaming, animation and robotics applications with the children building solutions, which, when scaled over the next six months, could attract funding to the tune of not less than $1 million.

The General Manager, Enugu State Tech Hub, Mr. Chinedum Anowor, who spoke during the graduation and presentation of certificates to the children, stated that the programme, also known as ‘Boot Camp,’ was designed for children between the ages of seven and 14 to increase the technology space.

He stated that what the children leant and demonstrated within the two weeks is an indication that if given the right environment, Nigerian children have the potential to build solutions that could “change the world.”
