THE former Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Aderanti, has called for improved partnership between the police and communities, to tackle criminal activities in the state.

Aderanti who spoke during the commissioning of a conference hall built by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ijanikin Police Division, Superintendent Robison Eregare commended Eregare for his selfless services to the force and the nation, describing him as a role model and vibrant officer, who has resisted temptations to enrich himself, to ensure the transformation of his area of jurisdiction under five months.
 
While presenting Eregare as the Best DPO in the state, the Police boss urge other officers to emulate him, noting that his achievements such as building projects at the Trade Fair Division, Orile Division, and the State CID Panti are worthy of emulation.
 
Eregare, the urhobo born traditional chief was awarded the most outstanding DPO of the year 2012; best DPO 2013; best DPO 2014; before the latest award.

His kinsmen, the Urhobo Isoko Progressive Union of Ijanikin, who were full of praises for their illustrious son, described him as a shining example that has lighten the lives of other UIPU children.

He was later presented with an award of Excellence by the union.
