The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT), with support from the European Union funded “Support to Anti-corruption in Nigeria,” will hold a roundtable consultative process to address delay in trials and Administrative Justice Regulation.

The programme, with collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), hold on 11th-12 and 12th-14th of July respectively.

The objective of the programmes is to develop ‘Practice Directions and a Code of Ethics’ to address the challenges of delay of trial before it and improve integrity amongst its staff and also to finalise the draft ‘Promotion of Administrative Justice Regulation’.

According to the UNODC Outreach and Communications Officer, Mr Sylvester Tunde Atere, some procedural challenges have been encountered by the Tribunal which have affected it proceedings, resulting in delays in the disposal of cases.
