Excitement as Hi-Impact TV studio re-opens for operation

It was excitement galore yesterday, for staff and management of the Hi-Impact TV, Nigeria’s first full high-definition television studio, as they commissioned a new television and radio studio in Lagos.

Over a year ago, the TV studio, located in the premises of Hi-Impact Planet Amusements Park & Resort, Kilometre 12 Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ibafo in Obafemi Owode Local Council, Ogun State, was engulfed in fire caused by electric power surge.

Speaking at the event tagged: ‘Hi-Impact studios: The Rebirth,’ the Chairman of Solution Media & Infotech, the mother company of the television station, Adeyanju Lipede, offered gratitude to God for giving the management the opportunity to regain another studio after the unfortunate incident of August 12, 2021.

He said: “Today is a special day and emotional for me because I was there when the three-television studio completely burnt down with all the equipment gone, but no life was lost. But Glory be to God, we have a better studio now and in addition, we have a radio station 102.1FM.”

While narrating the incident, he said the studio, which got burnt cost N500m, adding that the incident happened a day after the station received 60 school children for an event.

He noted that the new studio has a video wall, robotic cameras, as latest machines that are completely different from the initial ones.
Head of Studio at the Hi-Impact TV, Francisca Ovie, assured Nigerians of quality contents of international standard.

She acknowledged that the rebirth has made them correct some errors that were made in the first studio setting. On his part, the Managing Director of the Solution Media & Infotech, Adeyeloye Lipede, also said the fire incident led to the birth of many innovations such as the radio station.

“With this new development and the skilled staff we have, we will deliver the best and I believe the sky is our limit and a lot to come,” he said.
