Explicit Communications marks silver jubilee
The Group Managing Director, Explicit Communications, Mr. Tunde Thani, has attributed the success and growth of the company in the last 25 years to the ‘G-Factor’.
Giving a back story of the professional journey, Thani said some 25 years ago, a divine set up happened that pushed his inner strength into entrepreneurship with no strategic will to follow.
“Unlike every other business, the company started without a normal business framework. It was more like starting on shoe strings.”
Highlighting some challenges during the gestation period, he said lack of capital, lack of contact, poor staff coaching, inability of skillful staff to sustain loyalty, senior practitioners preying into the agency and poaching good hands were some of the encumbrances encountered by the company.
Explicit Communications holds a pedigree of managing Great Clients such as Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR), Green Life Pharmaceuticals Limited, Intercontinental Distillers Limited (IDL), Aero Contractors, Federal Character Commission, Clearline HMO to mention a few.
Built on a solid foundation of Big Thinking, it has grown to become one of the sustained medium sized advertising agencies that has survived the cloudy and dark times in the industry.
