Eze Ndi Igbo, recognised by South East Progressive Traditional Rulers Council, says Eze Ofoegbu

The South East Progressive Traditional Rulers Council Chairman, HRM Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, has frowned at the press statement made by Eze Okeke of Imo State were he mentioned the activities of Eze Ndi Igbo in Diaspora as valueless.

The monarch said Eze Ndi Igbo anywhere are recognised by the traditional rulers in the South east, adding that their activities is projecting the rich Igbo cultural heritage to the international communities.

Eze Ofoegbu said: “We can not be here and there at the same time, we are glad at the level which our illustrious sons is showcasing us in their various locations.”

The revered monarch cautioned Eze Okeke to be mindful of his statements on Igbo people living outside the southern region.

Ofoegbu advised his counterpart from Imo State to make good use of what Ndi Igbo is known for which is love and synergy to call for a town hall meeting within the traditional rulers in the South east that will spring up more harmonious pictures of the people of the region.

The chairman highlighted the endorsement of the Igbo leaders out there known as Eze Ndi Igbo to be what protects the interest of the Igbos and described the Union as enjoyable geared towards humanity edge which is bringing blessings and unity amongst the Igbo sons.

Ofoegbu said Eze Ndi Igbo in Diaspora is highly recognised, endorsed by South East traditional rulers, noting that they are the eyes and ambassadors of the custodian of the culture which they hold at home.

He noted that their subjects abroad are faced with numerous challenges which only their leaders which is Eze Ndi Igbo in Diaspora can stand in for them to ensure Igbos out there don’t face any form of humiliation.
