Family decries attack on Balogun during Oyo APC senatorial primary
The Balogun of Aliiwo Dynasty, yesterday, decried the mob attack on Senator Kola Balogun at the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primary election held on Saturday.
The family described the development as the handiwork of detractors who could not obliterate the good works the politician had done and his future good intentions for the country.
This was contained in a statement by Olori Olayinka Balogun on behalf of the Balogun of Aliiwo Dynasty, saying: “We the family believe in him and he has not stolen anybody’s money.”
Olori Balogun, while countering the claim in a video that went viral on Saturday where the senator was being booed with the shout of ‘ole, ole, ole’ (thief, thief, thief) at the venue of the primary, said this would not stop him but keep him waxing stronger.”
She described the detractors as mean and political urchins.
