Fashola tasks stakeholders at climate change summit
MEASURES targeted at moderating the destructive effects of climate change were again subject of discussion yesterday at the 7th edition of climate change summit organised by the Lagos State Government.
The event that took place took place at the Eko Hotels & Suites, with the theme: “Celebrating Success Stories, Reviewing Challenges and Setting Future agenda,” examined the extent of damage already done and still doing to the environment.
Describing the situation as an “existential threat to the environment,” Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola noted that the menace, though, surmountable, requires more commitment by all and sundry.
According to Fashola, his administration’s dream for Lagos is a city free from air, water and land pollution, saying it was this dream that spurred the administration to create state environmental renewal and greening programmes.

Hope they make Fashola Minister of Petroleum or Power, as long as he is cured of his mild ibo love.
We will review and take appropriate action.
