Fayose commends Olonishakin’s appointment

EKITI State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Maj.-Gen. Abayomi Gabriel Olonishakin, describing it as merited and well deserved.

The governor also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for finding an Ekiti indigene worthy of such appointment, the first time in Nigeria’s history.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, Fayose said the honour done Ekiti by the appointment would not be misplaced, adding that Olonishakin would exhibit the courage, intelligence, honesty and hard work that Ekiti people are known for in his duties.

“At this crucial time in the existence of Nigeria, I have no doubt that Maj.-Gen. Olonishakin will justify his appointment by making our country safe again,” he stated. “I therefore pray God to continue giving him the strength and wisdom to give his best at all time.”
