Fayose-Muazu feud deepens
NATIONAL chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Muazu and Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose took to Twitter yesterday to attack each other.
Muazu had in his reaction to Fayose’s call on him and other members of the National Working Committee to resign over the failure of the party to win the last presidential election, asked the governor to come out with any evidence that he actually worked against the interest of the party .
Fayose had threatened he would release incriminating evidence of the national chairman’s secret support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), if Mu’azu pushed further his defence .
But Muazu in his tweet said: “We challenge Governor Fayose to come out with the evidence that shows the National Chairman worked for APC during the elections.
“We hope it’s not the kind of evidence he once said he had that Buhari was dying.” In his own tweet @GovAyoFayose, the governor said: “Disloyalty: A leader who takes to twitter to slight a party member but never did the same with or to the opponent. God sees our hearts” He continued, “ PDP will outlast many of us.
The legacy of true politics is service to the people, loyalty to one’s team and a clear conscience before God.”
