FG amends Kanu’s charge to 15 counts
The Federal Government, yesterday, filed fresh terrorism charges against detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
In the amended process filed before the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, the Federal Government increased the counts in the initial charge preferred against Kanu.
The Guardian recalled that Kanu, who has been facing a seven-count charge on treasonable felony, now faces fresh 15-count amended charge in a suit marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/383/2015 and signed by Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), M. B. Abubakar.
The court had on December 2, 2021 fixed today for hearing of some pending applications, including Kanu’s suit seeking to be discharged and acquitted.
