FG honours NPA boss, Bello-Koko, with productivity award

Following reforms undertaken by management under his watch, the Federal Government has conferred on Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Mohammed Bello-Koko, the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award 2022.

Following reforms undertaken by management under his watch, the Federal Government has conferred on Managing Director of Nigerian Ports Authority, Mohammed Bello-Koko, the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award 2022.

The recognition is a reward for his programmes that have improved trade facilitation, revenue generation and remittances to the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF).

The reforms had been evaluated by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), which classified classified NPA Level 5 “Platinum Level” organisation.

A statement said the BPSR Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) deployed for assessment and in-depth analysis of processes and practices of the organisation returned the verdict of “exceptional performance with performance level of 91.25 per cent.”

With the conferment, Bello-Koko joins the list of exceptional public administrators and captains of industry driving excellence and pushing the limits to advance frontiers of national productivity.

The NPOM Award, an initiative of the Federal Government, is to recognise and honour productive individuals and organisations in Nigeria. It is established to also improve quantity and quality of goods and services available for consumption in the country as a means for increasing wealth.
