The Federal Government has announced that the national youth conference will take place in February 2025.

This development comes after President Bola Tinubu’s Independence Day broadcast, where he announced plans for a 30-day national youth conference to address pressing issues affecting young Nigerians, including unemployment, education, and political participation.

Tinubu said the conference aims to provide a platform for meaningful dialogue and empower young people to participate actively in nation-building.

Tinubu said, “By ensuring that their voices are heard in shaping the policies that impact their lives, we are creating a pathway for a brighter tomorrow.”

The planned conference is part of the administration’s response to recent youth-led protests, including #EndBadGovernance in August 2024 and the #FearlessOctober in October 2024.
