As part of efforts to improve the skills of civil servants, the Federal Government is partnering with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to train all cadre of civil servants on forensic investigation.

The Head of Service of the Federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja when the President and members of the governing council of ICAN paid her a visit.

Oyo-Ita, who is also a chartered accountant and member of ICAN, further said that the time has come for the inclusion of new innovations and proactive attitude to improve the skills of civil servants in the country.

Earlier, ICAN President, Mr Femi Deru, observed the need for nomination and sponsorship of accountants in the civil service to enable them attend courses outlined by ICAN in order to enhance their skills, noting that knowledge is perishable when not renewed.
