FIFA file complaint against comedian for trespassing
The world football governing body FIFA has filed a criminal complaint against British comedian Simon Brodkin for trespassing, the Zurich city police said on Tuesday.
Brodkin crashed a press conference held by FIFA President Joseph Blatter at the organisation’s headquarters in Zurich and showered the 79-year-old Swiss in heaps of fake dollar bills.
“This is for North Korea 2026.
“As an ambassador for North Korean football, I am happy to conclude the deal between FIFA and North Korea for the 2026 World Cup,’’ Brodkin said.
However, Brodkin was taken to a police station after the incident and was questioned before being released.
The Swiss prosecutor’s office would now decide whether to proceed with charges against him.
