FinTribe, a pan-African women-focused financial empowerment platform, has stated that it will continue to expand its financial empowerment initiative across Africa, with a commitment to building a trusted ecosystem where women can learn, grow, and build wealth with confidence.

The financial organisation stated this as one of the participants of the recently held She Counts Financial Fair, organised by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Centenary Bank.

The event — themed ‘From income to influence: Building wealth, building power’, was targeted at women entrepreneurs, financial experts, policymakers, and development partners —was held in Kampala, Uganda.

The fair focused on enhancing women’s understanding of savings and investment products, pensions, collective investment schemes, insurance, capital markets, and entrepreneurship financing. It also aimed to serve as a networking hub and a catalyst for policy dialogue and innovation in women’s finance through mentorship, skills development, and strategic partnerships.

The UNDP resident representative in Uganda, Nwanne Vwede-Obahor, said that, with the fair, “We want to demystify investments by speaking in plain, useful, and actionable language, because many women are excluded from formal financial systems, not for lack of ability, but because those systems were never made accessible to them, and this platform is designed to bridge that gap.”

The Managing Director of Centenary Bank, Fabian Kasi, stated that the bank pledges to remain at the forefront of designing financial solutions that recognise the unique life-cycles and professional paths of women.

“We commit to expanding our reach through our digital platforms and vast branch network to ensure that no woman is left behind in the shift from earning to investing,” Kasi said.

The organisers of the event stated that FinTribes participation in the event reflects its growing reputation as a reliable and trusted institution in the financial empowerment space.

The founder of FinTribe, Jennifer Awirigwe, stated that a collaboration like this, between international development partners and private platforms, is what truly drives opportunities and systemic change in the financial and investment spaces for women.

Awirigwe added that the She Counts fair reinforces its dual role as an educator equipping women with knowledge and as a thought leader shaping the future of African investment, and that participation of FinTribe at the event positions it as an active, open, and trusted partner in the African financial inclusion ecosystem.

The FinTribe’s boss described the initiative as a pivotal platform that offers a space to dismantle financial barriers and create clear pathways for women to participate in structured wealth building.

She spoke about the future of women’s economic resilience in supporting their families and communities, and also in contributing meaningfully to the wealth and economic development of their countries.

Awirigwe revealed that through its Wealth Builders Academy and ongoing international engagements, FinTribe continues to build informed, confident women investors.

She added that they are committed to convening these high-level conversations and translating them into scalable impact for women across Nigeria, Uganda, and the broader continent.

At the fair, the FinTribe’s boss was pictured alongside high-level dignitaries, including Frederieke Quispel, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Nwanne Vwede-Obahor, UNDP Resident Representative for Uganda; Katja Kerschbaumer, Head of the Austrian Embassy/Development Cooperation; and Justine Ariho, CEO of Agape Wealth Solutions.
