In the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship and global career development across Africa, Founder and CEO, PRIME56 Consulting Ltd, Esther Asuquo ha reiterated the importance of transforming education access, nurturing entrepreneurial potential, and accelerating career advancement among Africa’s youth.
With a strong academic background and global exposure, Asuquo is leveraging her experiences to reshape Africa’s approach to business innovation. She holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the IAE de Poitiers (Poitiers School of Business), France, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), where she graduated with distinction. Her participation in exchange programs at Sciences Po and IESEG School of Management in France has added an international perspective to her strategic approach.
Asuquo emphasised the importance of African talent positioning itself on a global scale. “Africa’s human capital is one of its greatest assets. What we need are systems that empower young people with access, opportunity, and a global mindset,” she said.
Under her leadership, PRIME56 has become a powerful platform that connects African students and young professionals with over 100 top-ranked universities across the UK, US, Canada, Germany, and the Caribbean. According to company reports, the firm facilitates over 500 student admissions annually, boasting a 90 per cent success rate. But the impact goes beyond university placement—PRIME56 also offers career acceleration, executive recruitment, and business mentorship services.
Asuquo’s initiatives are built on principles of transparency, merit, and transformation. A licensed Chartered Human Resource Professional (ACIPM/HRPL), she has also designed internship and career-bridging programs to address systemic barriers like nepotism in Africa’s labor markets. “We focus on creating merit-based pathways that allow excellence to thrive,” she said.
Beyond consultancy, Asuquo is building a pipeline of future leaders through entrepreneurship and leadership development initiatives. More than 5,000 young Africans have participated in training programs facilitated by PRIME56. These initiatives, she explained, are designed to prepare youth for “a competitive, fast-evolving global marketplace.”
Her influence in business circles has not gone unnoticed. Asuquo has been recognised by the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Program and Flourish Africa’s Business and Life Skills Training, curated by philanthropist Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Selection into these programs is highly competitive, often admitting only a fraction of applicants.
She was recently featured in Connect Nigeria’s “Meet the CEO” series, a recognition that underscores her contributions to education, career development, and social enterprise across the continent.
Asuquo is focused on expanding PRIME56’s reach to rural and underserved communities while also scaling operations into new international markets. She has voiced plans to strengthen partnerships in Europe and the Americas, aiming to create a “globally influential” African workforce.
