THE remains of Mr. Bola Onanuga, the pioneer managing director of National Mirror, will be lowered to mother earth this week in Ijebu-Modi Mosan, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

Onanuga, one of the most cerebral business and economist journalists, died last week in Lagos after a brief illness. According to a statement issued in Lagos by his family, burial rites will begin with a wake keep, scheduled for the High Society Club, Somolu, Lagos on Thursday October 15, 2015, while memorial service and interment will hold at Anglican Church, Market Street, Ijebu-Modi Mosan, the following day in his country home.

The senior journalist, who has been described as one of the most brilliant financial analysts by stakeholders, would have been 54 years next month. He was survived by his wife, children and siblings.

Among other attributes, Onanuga was highly respected for his views as a public affairs analyst on local and international issues.
His journalism carrier, which began about three decades ago, saw him passed through the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Comet Newspapers, Daily Times of Nigeria Plc and Business Times. Others are; Business Week Newspapers, Financial Standard Newspapers and Core Television respectively, where he ended his media career as a programme anchor on business and economy issues.
