No fewer than 3,000 school kids in selected primary schools in Edo and Bayelsa states have received educational materials, including text and note books, school bags, stationeries and learning aids, courtesy a non-governmental organisation, Ernest Bebenimibo Foundation (EBF).

In Bayelsa State, Mgbela Primary School, King Bolou Nursery, Odi, and Igeita Primary School, Kolga benefitted from the outreach, tagged “Street to School 2022”.

Speaking during the presentation of the materials, the President and founder of the foundation, Deacon Ernest Bebenimibo, said: “Our core message to the children is that they should be hopeful because, surely their tomorrow will be greater than today, if they work hard, maintain focus, read their books and learn a skill.”

He urged federal, state and local governments to partner with progressive Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and civil society groups to impact the society positively.

The pupils, teachers and community leaders present were full of gratitude as they prayed for volunteers, donors, supporters and leaders of the foundation.

The EBF team also visited the Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria Primary and Secondary School and Obaretin-Ologbo in Edo State, where they donated educational materials to encourage and inspire the pupils.
