
The programme, which is targeted at reaching the underprivileged people in the rural areas, Internally Displaced Persons, among others, has visited three IDPs camps in Abuja and provided first-class medical services to the people in the camps.
According to a statement issued by the NTIC Foundation spokesman, Cemal Yigit, the team of professional medical practitioners, who were from Nizamiye Hospital, also provided the IDPs with free drugs and lunch to compliment the free medical checkups.
The foundation has also set a target of about 1,000 free cataract surgeries to be performed at the serene environment of the Nizamiye Hospital.
The beneficiaries were full of praise for the foundation, as one of the beneficiaries who identified himself as Shehu said, “I will remain ever grateful to these good Samaritans, who are not my family, but showed love and care to me and our people. May the Almighty reward them richly.”
One Jummai Sani also said: “For providing first class medical services free, only God will reward the foundation people for us.”
