The Wunti Al-Khair Foundation has trained over 1,000 business owners in Bauchi State on effective business management, loan application processes, and business registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The participants also received mentorship on business mindset, financial management, market positioning, and access to finance.
Director of Programmes at Wunti Al-Khair Foundation, Mustapha Ango, said the organisation sponsored free CAC registration for more than 100 businesses in Bauchi to enable them access loans, grants, and other formal opportunities.
As part of its intervention, Ango disclosed that at least 30 youths have graduated from the Bala Wunti Technology Fellowship, with many already employed or advancing their careers in the tech industry.
He emphasised that the Foundation is apolitical and focuses on building stronger communities through initiatives in education, agriculture, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and social welfare.
“One of the major highlights of our work this year has been the progress of the Bala Wunti Technology Fellowship.
This programme is designed to prepare young people from Bauchi for the future of work, equipping them with the skills, exposure, and networks they need to thrive in the technology-driven economy,” Ango said.
He added that the 2025 cohort recently embarked on an industrial trip to Lagos, coinciding with GITEX Nigeria 2025. During the trip, fellows engaged with global technology leaders, explored emerging digital trends, and built valuable networks.
“A standout moment came when Muhammad, a 2024 fellow, showcased his startup at the exhibition, a milestone that highlights how the fellowship is nurturing Bauchi-born innovators for national and international impact,” he said.
Ango cautioned against individuals impersonating the Foundation for political or personal gain, urging the public and media to verify any information directly through the organisation’s official channels.
