Abdulaziz Garba Gafasa Monday emerged as the Kano State House of Assembly Speaker.

Gafasa, a member representing Ajingi local government, was a former speaker of the House between 2007 and 2011.

The lawmakers also elected Hamisu Ibrahim Cidari, member representing Makoda local government, as deputy speaker of the House.
