Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Usman Gurama, who disclosed this while speaking with The Guardian in Gombe, said that presently, they have completed allocation of the seats to the intending pilgrims in the state.
According to him, the board is only waiting for the announcement of the final fee for this year from the National Hajj Commission (NHC) for the prospective pilgrims to complete payments.
He said the board has procured uniforms and all other necessary arrangement had been completed, adding that they have 90 per cent of the passports of the intending pilgrims in readiness for their visa.
“At this point, we have reached up to 80 per cent level of preparations for the 2015 hajj as far as Gombe State is concerned because we have finished distribution of seats to intending pilgrims and almost of them have paid. The only thing we are waiting for is the final fee to be declared by the NHC then to consider what to be paid by pilgrims to complete the payments or pay back their remaining balance”, Gurama said.
