Govt Explains Delayed Habitation Of Kano Mega Cities
Kano state government has given reasons for the delay in the allocation of houses in the multi billion Naira mega cities, two months after their completion.
The state, under the immediate pass administration, developed three major housing estates in different locations: Kwankwasiyya, Amana and Bandirawo cities, on191hectares each at the cost of N45 billion.
The estates, according to the former governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, were developed to decongest the city of Kano and to provide shelter for residents, in the face of housing deficit in the state.
Speaking with journalists on his assumption of office, the new Managing director of Kano investment and property limited Dr. Jubirila Muhammed said the proposed occupants have not met the requirement for physical acquisition of the houses.
