Grace School student becomes one-day Reps’ member
A student of Grace High School, Gbagada, Lagos, Oluwanifesimi Oyawa, has emerged the overall best student in a keenly-contested Information and Communications Technology-based (ICT) competition organised by a member of the House of Representatives, Ademorin Kuye, for secondary school students within his Somolu Federal Constituency.
The one-day House of Reps’ member, who emerged through a vigorous process in the competition in Lagos State, on Tuesday, visited the National Assembly where he was received by Kuye and the Emir of Kano.
The competition was organised as part of the promises to uplift educational standard and also encourage the students to maintain quality academic record.
Kuye said the competition was aimed at developing the students and equipping them for the task ahead, adding that the competition was to develop the students’ capabilities and competencies.
In a statement, the management of Grace School applauded the lawmaker for his determination to develop the future leaders.
The school said it would continue to provide qualitative learning experiences for students to compete favourably in life.
