A group, Reality Forum of Oyo State, has asked the Federal Government to impose a 20-year ban on any politicians found guilty of corruption.

While commending President Muhammadu Buhari for his anti-graft war, however, maintained that there should be punitive measures, indicating a sharp departure from the past.

Led by Jide Ajao, the group warned that if the excesses of Fulani herdsmen were not checked, they could be more dangerous than the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

It frowned on the presidential system of government presently being practised in the country, saying it was antithetical to good democratic norms.

According to Reality Forum of Oyo State, the “presidential system in Nigeria is too expensive. Hence the need for return to parliamentary system. With elected 36 state governors and their deputies, many special advisers and assistants, 109 senators, 360 members of the House o‎f Representatives, 990 members of Houses of Assembly and many others, the presidential system has ruined our democracy,” it stated.
