Guber candidate makes case for women, youths in political positions

Zenith Labour Party

Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) gubernatorial candidate in Benue State, Mrs. Aondona Dabo-Fiase, has lamented the marginalisation of women and youths in the sharing of political positions.

Daughter of the late maverick politician, Godwin Dabo, who was in the House of Representatives from 2003 to 2007, made this known, yesterday, in Makurdi.

She said she was contesting the governorship to correct the imbalance and bring about fair sharing.

Her words: “There has been an unfortunate imbalance in the appropriation of positions in the state. Although we, the Tiv, are a majority, that is not to say we should be taking everything.”

“I hate to discriminate against any tribe because I am a product of a bi-tribe union. My mother hailed from Okitipupa in Ondo State and my father Tiv.”
