The Founder and President of the MAAUN Group of Universities, Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo, has congratulated the newly inaugurated President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, describing his emergence as a significant moment for both the Republic and the wider African continent.
Professor Gwarzo conveyed his message shortly after the inauguration ceremony, during which President Wadagni delivered an address centred on national cohesion, regional cooperation and African solidarity.
According to reports by Le Point, Professor Gwarzo was among the notable personalities invited to attend the inauguration but was unable to be present due to circumstances beyond his control.
In his inaugural speech, President Wadagni pledged to govern inclusively and strengthen relationships among African nations, particularly neighbouring countries. The address has since attracted attention for its emphasis on continental unity and regional integration.
Reacting to the speech, Professor Gwarzo praised the Beninese leader for promoting what he described as the ideals of African brotherhood, peaceful coexistence and collective progress.

He said the vision articulated by President Wadagni reflects the aspirations of many Africans seeking a more stable, united and economically prosperous continent.
According to the educationist and philanthropist, the new president’s focus on transcending political and geographical boundaries demonstrates responsible and forward-looking leadership.
Professor Gwarzo further noted that sustainable growth and long-term stability across Africa would require stronger cooperation, mutual respect and shared purpose among African leaders and institutions.
He expressed optimism that the new administration in the Benin Republic would usher in greater peace, economic development and stronger diplomatic and economic collaboration across the region.
The MAAUN founder also encouraged President Wadagni to remain committed to policies that promote youth empowerment, educational advancement, regional integration and harmonious coexistence across the continent.
Reaffirming his belief in visionary leadership and continental solidarity, Professor Gwarzo said the inauguration had renewed hope for a stronger and more progressive Africa.
