Healing broken identities: Pastor Akinlawon’s mission of recovery and renewal

In a time when emotional struggles are often masked by silence, Pastor Tinu Akinlawon is helping people confront what hurts and heal from what broke them. Her life’s work is rooted in one clear mission: to help individuals recover their identity, renew their purpose, and find peace after pain. Through a blend of clinical therapy and deep spiritual insight, she is walking side by side with the brokenhearted and giving them the tools to live whole again.

A Certified Professional Counsellor and founder of The Graced Network, also known as Tinu Akinlawon Ministries, Pastor Tinu has spent years helping people move from trauma to transformation. At Charis House, where she serves as Principal Consultant, her approach goes beyond traditional counselling. It is a sacred blend of psychotherapy, prophetic intercession, and compassionate coaching, grounded in faith and powered by empathy.

“My journey was inspired by witnessing the deep emotional wounds that many people carry in silence,” she says. “I felt called to help restore what had been broken and to remind people that they are not defined by their pain. Healing is possible, and purpose can rise from brokenness.”

In June 2025, she led another deeply moving edition of the REST Conference, a gathering that has become a refuge for emotional and spiritual renewal. Alongside that is The Torchbearers Conference, a leadership-driven space where change agents are equipped with both practical tools and spiritual strength. From healing prayers to emotional coaching, these conferences are redefining what it means to recover and lead.

Pastor Tinu’s heart for healing extends into the lives of women through Mothers on Mission, a support network that meets monthly to help women find freedom from their past and clarity for their future. Whether in small gatherings or large encounters, she creates safe spaces for women to speak, be heard, and be healed. She travels from state to state, inside and outside Nigeria, holding healing sessions that are changing lives one encounter at a time.

Her influence is not limited by geography. Recently, she was a featured speaker at the NHN Women Conference in Doha, where her message on healing and identity resonated with a global audience. She is also the author of *The Water Walking Woman*, a bestselling book that offers powerful insights for navigating life’s storms with faith and courage.

Currently, Pastor Tinu is expanding her reach with virtual trauma recovery programs at Charis House. She is mentoring new counsellors and prophetic intercessors, raising a generation of healers ready to serve both local communities and the global diaspora. Her work is practical, spiritual, and deeply personal, always returning to the core belief that healing is possible.

“What brings me the most fulfilment is seeing people come alive again,” she says. “When someone tells me they finally forgave, finally slept in peace, or finally found their voice, I know true healing is happening. That is the real victory.”

Pastor Tinu Akinlawon’s work is not just about therapy or conferences. It is about restoring the soul. Her message is clear: no one is too broken to begin again. Through her passion, countless people are rediscovering who they are, reclaiming what they lost, and stepping boldly into who they were always meant to be.

Broken crayons still colour, and through her, many are learning to draw again.
