On 11th September 1991 in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria Gift Johnbull was born. She grew up in Effurun, Delta State, where her early introduction to various ethnic and socioeconomic realities confirmed her heartfelt passion for community development, public service, and youth empowerment.
Over the years, Gift has grown into a spirited and self-driven development advocate, political mobilizer, and humanitarian.
She is the Founder of the Gift Johnbull Empowerment Foundation (GJEF), an organization committed to boost underprivileged communities through empowerment initiatives, capacity building, and civic engagement programs.
Gift who presently serves as the Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement (South-South) to the Nigerian Federal Government.
In this role, she has synchronized town hall meetings, grassroots political campaigns, and civic education forums, while assembling over 7,000 youths for national political participation. Her work extends across the gap between the government and the people, particularly in deprived areas.
Her academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Strategy and Security Administration from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Resource Management from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
She also holds a National Diploma in Food Science and Technology from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo and is currently pursuing a PhD in Conflict, Security, and Strategic Studies at the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies in Abuja.
Gift’s countless recognitions include the Icon of Youth Development Award, Community Advocate of the Year, and her listing among the 100 Leading Personalities in Africa. She has also been a delegate of Nigeria in international seminars and summits held in China and South Korea.
