RCCG-ConventionTHOUSANDS of faithfuls gathered at the Redemption Camp in what has been described as the most attended yearly convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

From across all parts of the world, the worshippers held electrifying sessions of praise and worship, as general Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye enjoined them to believe God for supernatural encounters.

The Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr.Samuel Ortom, was one of the dignitaries that attended the convention, where he told the story of his life, saying he started as a motor park tout.

Governor Ortom gave the testimony in appreciation of what God has done in his life, particularly during the last elections. According to him, he dropped out of secondary school in 1979 and had to take to distant learning and tutorials to go through all levels of education and to the point of Doctorate degree. “I dropped out of school at form two in 1979.

After my encounter with the All Sufficient God, today through tutorials, distant learning, I have a Ph.D. I started out as a motor park tout, I passed through leadership positions in the various local and state levels and then I became the mininster for Industry, Trade and Investment at the federal level and later supervising minister of aviation.

‘’God also directed me to contest for the 2015 governorship elections, though I had no money, I went ahead and today I am the Executive Governor of Benue State because God has decided to give me a testimony’,’’ he added.

Meanwhile, Pastor Adeboye has canvassed support for the multi-million naira church auditorium, which he said would serve as the new prayer ground for worshippers.

He made the appeal during the Holy Ghost night of the 63rd annual convention with the titled: “The All-Sufficient God” held at the Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun state yesterday.

The new auditorium, which is three-times bigger than the present one, is expected to accommodate 12 million worshipers on completion. ‘’I have suddenly become a beggar, I have never asked for offering online, but this circumstance is beyond my control, I need help to complete the auditorium so that it can be used by, at least, December this year. ‘’I pray that all those who have promised me big money will show up one day.

This is the first time in my life that I have almost turned a beggar and so I am appealing to well-meaning people to support this project to its completion and eventual functionality.’’

He stressed further on the need for Nigerians to keep all hope alive as “God is sufficient for our material, emotional and physical needs” Among dignitaries at the convention included the Vice president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo, Executive Governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko, Chief of Defence Staff, Abayomi Olonisaki, among others

Oh God if the any government official or elected office holder that comes and liars on your podium or says one thing and does another, deal with him accordingly. And for those that are consistent, bless and enlarge them.

We all thank God for Dr Samuel Ortom’s life. One hopes, and prays, that he uses his new position to better the lives of the people of Benue State instead of stealing them blind. At the end of a 4-year term, we want to hear that Benue State is a better place than Ortom met it not that his bank account is larger or that his Dubai flat is bustling with political activities. Thanks

If Jonathan have been re elected, he too would have come to the redemption camp to give testimony. A country where churches are becoming richer than the government while the Nigerian masses are suffering and still continue to look up to churches for social safety. God almighty knows best.

You will now be transformed from a motor park tout to Ajiboye’s tout. Make sure you dip into your pocket, and not Benue’s, to enrich Ajiboye.

And the GO adds his own request…..a 12 million sitter auditorium. Hopefully God almighty ordained the architecture and showed him the vision though it appears a bit inordinate an aspiration In an age of live TV and internet streaming and for God who is everywhere in a country where millions don’t have a roof overhead. 12 million people in one location is a security and logistic challenge. The largest soccer stadium in the world doesn’t aim at a quarter of this number. Anyone knows why?
