The Executive Director, The Guardian Newspapers Limited, Ms Anita Ibru, has commended the Deputy Comptroller of Immigration, Passport Control Office (PCO), FESTAC Town, Lagos, Mr. Kayode Adedigba for bringing sanity to the Passport Office.
Ibru, who was surprised with the new transformation and ease of the process when she went for her biometric enrolment (data capture), was pleased that the painful experience of many Nigerians in the quest for international passports was gradually becoming a thing of the past in FESTAC Town.
She noted that the transformation drive of the PCO within the five months he assumed office ‘’is not only commendable and encouraging, but should be emulated by other passport offices across the country.’’
Ibru, who paid a courtesy call to the office of the PCO after her biometric enrolment, said the PCO has practically solved the problems in the unit.
She said: “I was surprised when I got here for my capturing, and I was impressed with ease of the process. I was so much impressed. There was discipline across the rank and file of the officers. It wasn’t business as usual, which prompted me to pay this visit.”
She encouraged him to keep up the good work.
