The General Overseer of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries Worldwide, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has decried the rate at which young people are getting themselves enmeshed in idol worship, cultism and others, describing those places that people go for power and money as deception of the devil to lure young Nigerians away from God whom he described as the greatest, the maker and owner of power.
He called on Nigerians who have made idol worship and other semi-gods as their bedrock to come out from them and embrace the God of Chosen whose ultimate power is not in doubt.
Muoka, who spoke yesterday at the Chosen crusade, titled, “It Is Time For God To Bless You,” held at the Chosen Revival Ground, along Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, was responding to the testimony of a cultist, who repented and was sharing his negative experience of how man-made power disappointed him and almost killed him.
The cleric said idol worship had thrived in the East since The Lord’s Chosen stopped holding its yearly Mgbidi crusade in the East. He, however, thanked God for the return of Mgbidi 2025, adding that God had used it to stop people from going back to idol worship.
Muoka said: “Why I came out was as a result of the last statement, he made that the gods and other powers he depended upon disappointed him. In Eastern Nigeria, as it is today, many people have gone back to idol worship but, by the grace of God, as we return to Mgbidi 2025, God has exterminated that issue of going back to idol worship just because of our absence from the place for some time.”
