The 50 years old prince, who is one of the sons of the late Prince John Olatundun Adenimowu Adewole, said that it is the turn of Giesi Ruling House to produce the next Ooni of Ife.
Adewole, who is from Wanikin Royal Family of Giesi Ruling House, said:“It is our turn and the kingmakers in Ife cannot be wrong. But Giesi comprises of about seven houses. I am from Wanikin where Oni Laroka came from.
“My people gathered and said that I should not be afraid since they have chosen me. They told me that they are solidly behind me to contest for Ooni stool. That was how I got into the race.
“I will see what I can do to improve the lives of our youths, because they are the leaders of tomorrow, by empowering them instead of allowing them to be riding commercial motorcycles. I am going to put smiles on their faces. I am going to make them to become entrepreneurs, not necessarily waiting for white-collar jobs.
“We will see what we can do to bring peace, unity and harmony to the people of Ife. I will use my connection to industrialise Ile-Ife.”
