Vice Chancellor, Igbinedion University Okada (IUO), Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, yesterday, charged graduates of pharmacy across the country to contribute towards advancing healthcare, nationally and globally.

He disclosed that the institution has, so far, graduated 1,203 into the pharmacy profession since its inception.

Ezemonye made the disclosure while addressing graduates of the 2021/2022 academic session during the institution’s 12th oath-taking/induction ceremony of the College of Pharmacy, where a total of 90 graduates were inducted into the pharmacy profession by the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Ezemonye said graduates of the institution were doing well in their various fields, adding that the pharmacy discipline remained a flagship programme, sought after by applicants.

He said: “Our blue sky graduates, who are to be found in various parts of the world, are excelling in their chosen professions, including Pharmacy. Indeed, our products and achievements are testaments to our greatness and fame.

“Today, a total of 90 pharmacy graduates of the Dora Akunyili College of Pharmacy, who have been found worthy in character and learning will be inducted.”
