Ikeja Electric upgrades college’s electrical workshop to boost technical education

An electricity distribution company, Ikeja Electric (IE), has renovated and upgraded the electrical workshop at Government Technical College (GTC) in Ikorodu, Lagos, as part of efforts to support technical capacity building in Lagos State.

An electricity distribution company, Ikeja Electric (IE), has renovated and upgraded the electrical workshop at Government Technical College (GTC) in Ikorodu, Lagos, as part of efforts to support technical capacity building in Lagos State.

The firm noted that the gesture was aimed at boosting technical education in the state.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ikeja Electric, Folake Soetan, emphasised that the company remains passionate about giving back to the communities where it operates.

Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo, who was represented by Director of Policy, Planning, Research and Statistics in the ministry, Dr. Funke Oyetola, expressed gratitude to the firm for contributing towards improving the facility.

Principal of the school, Mrs. Kenku Adedoyin, also applauded the firm for expending resources and time to impact on the lives of students and teachers.
