Imo CP confirms murder of final year civil engineering student
THE Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Taiwo Frederick Lakanu, has confirmed the murder of a final -year student of Civil Engineering of the Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, near Owerri, Innocent Ndukwe.
Ndukwe, who was killed on November 17, was dumped in a nearby toilet in a pool of his own blood.
Lakanu also paraded three suspects- David Kwaguru ,30, of Sirwo in Lantan North Local Council of Plateau State; Friday Ayuba, 28, a native of Keyelda, Jos North Local Council of Plateau State and Francis Amos,23, of Pinall in Lantan South Local Council of the same state.
Lakanu said the deceased’s guard (first suspect), David, was alleged to have arranged with other suspects to kill the student. He said the deceased hailed from a rich family, regretting that after the murder, the suspects dispossessed the victim of his Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) with registration number KRD -109- BP; two plasma television sets and other personal effects.
However, luck ran out on them when they were escaping and were apprehended by some police officers along West End Road, Owerri.
